The Unitarian Universalist Society of Oneonta offers Religious Education programming for Children and Youth of all ages. Our programs are interesting, with an interactive curriculum that is age-appropriate and which encourages our Children and Youth to search for the answers to the "big questions" in their lives. Content ranges from working on social justice issues to learning about our Judeo-Christian Heritage to learning about other World Religions to learning about our own Unitarian Universalist identity. Our Children and Youth explore each of these areas through the lens of Our Seven UU Principles. Our classes meet during the regular church service beginning in September and ending in June. Visitors are always welcome! Check the Message Board Each Sunday! Current information about all Religious Education Programs will be posted on message boards on the porch of each building when you arrive each Sunday. Children and Youth are welcome to join in any time of the year. Most Sundays, the Children (PreK-4th Grade) will begin their morning with their families and attend the first part of the service in the sanctuary. After a short Time for All Ages (storytime) they will walk with teachers to classes. Children's classes are held in the lower level Rainbow Rooms at Chapin. Children join adults for fellowship in the sanctuary at 11:45.
