Ministry
The UUSO ministry is somewhat different than what you would find in most other religions. As there is no official Unitarian Universalist (UU) creed, UUs are free to search for truth on many paths. Ours is a non-creedal religion. Although we uphold shared principles, individual UU's have varied beliefs about everything from scripture to rituals to God.

Our Minister is our focal point of compassionate expression and carries out the normal responsibilities of congregational ministry, including worship and pastoral care, and also assists the congregation in reaching beyond the dominant culture to include the multicultural world in social service and social justice.

Ministry within the UUSO extends to members, friends, their families, and our local and world communities. Every Sunday we stand together and speak aloud our covenant, which includes these important expressions of our responsibilities to those around us:

Love is the doctrine of this church
And service is its prayer,
To dwell together in peace,
To serve humankind in fellowship,
To the end that all souls shall grow in harmony
